The Valley Cricket Academy was initiated by Valley District Cricket Club (VDCC) in 2016 with the goal of providing a high level coaching service to its members. The Academy provides quality coaching suitable for male and female players of all levels. The programs are driven and overseen by Peter Drinnen, alongside Andrew Gode (Valley First Grade Captain), Brad Murphy (Valley Senior Men's Coach) and Wayne Niven.
Coaching programs are run each school term, with Coaching Camps being held in the school holidays.
Our range of coaching programs have been developed to suit all age and skill levels. Programs include Junior Fundamentals, Intermediate Batting, Spin and Pace Bowling and specialist Wicketkeeping.
These programs run for seven weeks and utilise the latest in equipment and video analysis. Numbers are limited to ensure Program quality is maintained.
Our popular four-day coaching camps are held in the school holidays and focus on skills based training and game simulation. Aimed at players aged 7+, the camps are an ideal opportunity for players to receive 1-on-1 coaching advice that they can immediately take into a game simulation environment.

VDCC Academy is excited to announce that in additional to our group programs, we will now be offering the opportunity for players of all ages and levels to receive specialised coaching from one of our team of certified and experienced coaches. This type of coaching is ideal for players either starting out and looking to build confidence, and for the more experienced player that is looking to take their game to the next level.
Players of all ages now have the chance to focus on their batting, bowling or keeping with specialist instruction from senior players who have played at the highest levels. A great opportunity to tap into their skills and game day experience in a one on one environment.
